The Problem
One of our clients asked The Miller Group to migrate their email from a local Exchange server, and their associated domain, to a new Microsoft 365 tenant. They wanted to fully utilize the Microsoft 365 environment for their company, take advantage of Microsoft Teams for internal collaboration and implement end-user multi-factor authentication.
The Solution
We created our project plan to minimize downtime and quickly give our client’s users access to their new email accounts in Microsoft 365.
We used the Microsoft migration tool to sync the mailboxes to their new Microsoft 365 tenant. Once the sync was completed, we worked with the users to access their new email using Microsoft Outlook and assisted the users with setting up their multi-factor authentication to secure their new Microsoft 365 accounts.
After the migration was completed, we held a Teams training demonstration with a live Q&A at the end. We recorded the training and saved the recording in their Teams for quick reference for users that couldn’t make the training.
The Result
After their email migration, our client was able to use the best-in-class email service, Microsoft Outlook. They also had the added security and business continuity of our Microsoft 365 backup for their email and data.
