The Problem
One Local Dealership is operating on outdated Windows 2016 servers, which need to be replaced with newer technology to improve performance and support future operations. The current infrastructure is aging, which can lead to issues such as inefficiencies and potential security vulnerabilities.
The Solution
The Miller Group has developed a plan to replace the old Windows 2016 servers with a new Windows Server 2025, which will offer improved technology and capacity. The new server will be set up alongside the current one, with virtual servers for internal and DealerVu operations. Data and services will be migrated gradually in the background, and new hardware like a UPS and backup drive will be included. Once everything is ready, a final switchover will be scheduled, and the old physical AD/file server will be decommissioned.
The Result
Our client now has a more reliable and efficient server infrastructure, with minimal downtime and disruption. We were also able to recycle their old server with no hassle!
