St. Louis Law Firm – New Office Location

New Office Location

Our client, a St. Louis Law Firm, had outgrown their office’s capacity and requested The Miller Group to assist them with moving to their new office location. We took this time to review their existing network equipment and made recommendations to replace their network equipment during the office move. This suggestion was to utilize the timing of their office move, while increasing the security and performance of their network.

The Problem

This St. Louis Law Firm is looking to migrate their users and associated domain from their current email solution to an Office 365 tenant. This transition requires moving all email data and ensuring security measures are in place, while also complying with industry standards, such as a 7-year email retention policy.

The Solution

The Miller Group (TMG) started with migrating the users to Office 365 by manually transferring PST files remotely into the new mailboxes. Additionally, TMG assisted users with setting up Multifactor Authentication (MFA) to secure their new Office 365 accounts. This will ensure the security of all emails and cloud data.

The Result

By migrating to Office 365, the Law Firm will meet its compliance requirements, including the necessary 7-year email retention. The migration also grants them access to Microsoft’s industry-leading email hosting service and the full Microsoft 365 Office product suite. However, the migration will not involve using a separate licensed tool for the email transfer.”

New Office Location

Our client, a St. Louis Law Firm, had outgrown their office’s capacity and requested The Miller Group to assist them with moving to their new office location. We took this time to review their existing network equipment and made recommendations to replace their network equipment during the office move. This suggestion was to utilize the timing of their office move, while increasing the security and performance of their network.

The Problem

This St. Louis Law Firm is expanding to a new office location and needs to ensure the new location has the same networking setup as their current one.

The Solution

We started with our project discovery phase, where we walked through the new office suite and coordinating with their internet service provider to ensure the best path to execute this project. Next, we developed a project plan to set up and configure new networking hardware for the new location, ensuring it works the same as in the current office. Since the new location already has sufficient wiring infrastructure, no additional runs were necessary.

The Result

The new office will have a fully functional network, matching the existing setup without the need for additional wiring, allowing our client to seamlessly transition to the new location. In our project follow-up survey, our client gave The Miller Group 5/5 with the feedback of, “Michelle and Luke were phenomenal to work with, we truly valued their commitment to getting our new office up and running in a timely manner.
