Network Replacement
A network replacement is the process of upgrading an organization’s outdated networking equipment—like routers, switches, and wireless access points—to modern, more reliable devices. This is done to improve performance, enhance security, and ensure the network can support current and future business needs.
The Problem
A local brewery’s current network suffers from poor wireless coverage and performance. During multiple onsite discovery visits, we identified several contributing factors: an outdated firewall (Ubiquiti EdgeRouter), older or offline devices, coverage gaps from poor placement, slow links, and unreliable mesh configurations. This fragmented setup makes the network difficult to trace, manage, and support.
The Solution
We replaced the existing wired and wireless infrastructure (excluding camera devices) with modern Ubiquiti UniFi equipment, including a new firewall, PoE switches, indoor and outdoor access points, and centralized management through the UniFi portal. This upgrade will enable unified visibility, simplified administration, separate internal and guest networks, and improved connectivity for modern devices. Any access points that cannot be wired will be set up with reliable mesh profiles. Additionally, we will install network racks in key areas, clean up the network closet, and remove unused devices to ensure a secure and organized environment.
The Result
The upgraded network delivered improved wireless coverage, faster throughput, and higher reliability across the brewery. Centralized management will provide real-time visibility, streamlined troubleshooting, and proactive IT support. Overall, the new infrastructure has enhanced performance, increased operational efficiency, and created a scalable, future-ready network that supports the brewery’s ongoing growth and seamless operations.
